The Pure Gospel of the Cross or the Polluted Gospel of the Cursed

Introduction

When the son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory…? Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me… Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. (Matthew 25:31-41).

And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the entire world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matt. 24:14). The gospel or the good news is the divinely branded commodity (product) by God the Father, authorized by the Son of God. Jesus Christ! It is to be distributed by those who have experienced the product. (Christian disciples). The gospel of the kingdom of God has only one trade mark by which it is identified. The signature of that gospel is the cross of Christ.

The Plan of Redemption Through the Cross of Christ

At the fall of man, there was a total separation of humanity from God. The man began to make frantic efforts to bridge the gulf that separated him from God using religious sacrifices and “good works”. But, all these failed. Satan rejoiced over the depravity status of man, and he never wished that man would return to fellowship with God.

In the overflowing riches of God, he made a new plan to buy man back to himself. He decided to put all that he has in eternity past and things in the eternity future together and planted all things inside the cross of Christ, the only inside the cross of Christ, the only begotten son.

To this end, Apostle Paul said “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Rom. 1:16). A preacher is expected to present the gospel of Jesus very clearly and without ambiguity. The gospel is the total sum of the birth of Jesus Christ, his suffering and vicarious death on the cross of Calvary, his burial, and, then his resurrection.

Polluted Gospel in Modern Times

In our days, people claim to be preaching the gospel of Christ yet, they changed the truth of God into a lie. (Rom. 1:25). Modern preachers intentionally injected strange fire into the gospel of the cross. The Gospel of the Cross emphasizes the righteousness of God. It embodies his suffering for the sin of humanity; it reveals the Excellency of the mystery of heaven (that life can only return to man by the death of the son of God.

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness, God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit; seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” (1Tim 3:16). In Romans 2:24, the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through the preachers of “another gospel”.

In Bible days, God raised Elijah to confront Baal and Jezebel. It was a time when it seemed unpopular to identify with righteousness. Elijah stood by the kingdom gospel and raised an effective altar against the status quo of his days.

The Power and Impact of the Cross

The gospel of the cross brought redemption to mankind. The sinner is given hope of eternal life through the cross of Christ. (Luke 19:10, 18: 11, 15: 1-10). The gospel of the cross brings gladness to humanity. (Acts 13:46-48).

The gospel of Christ offers restoration to the hungry soul, Acts 20:7-12. The cross of Christ offers a gospel that thrives in the heat of persecution (Acts 13:49-52). The gospel of the cross is configured to be Christ-centered. (Acts 9:19-22, 8:5). The gospel of the cross is compassionate (Luke 19:41). It has the power to quicken, and it repeals darkness (John 7:37-38), (John12:46). Whatever the gospel of the cross of Christ cannot offer is not obtainable elsewhere.

The Unblessable Gospel and Cursed Lifestyles

The gospel of Christ cannot be cursed. It is blessed forever. But, those who preach it can bring themselves under a curse by the kind of lifestyle they live. Apostle Paul never minced words when he said “If any man preaches any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Gal. 1:9). It is the gospel of the lukewarm and the seductive (2 Tim 3:13), it is a manipulation of the truth. (1Tim 4:1-2, 6:3-4). It is a corrupted gospel. 2Pet 2:1-3, 14-19.

Apostle Peter described these spiritual masqueraders succinctly in these words. Having eyes full of adultery and cannot cease from sin. They have forsaken the right way, gone astray. They are dogs that are turned to their own vomit. They are wells without water. They are ministers who take advantage of their followers. They can turn anything into money through diabolic means. They do not serve God but their belly. They are agents of darkness disguised as angels of light. They promised others liberty but they are servants of corruption.

These are days when so-called fathers in the Lord deflower young girls who are old enough to be their grandfathers. We live at a time when preachers sell anointing or what they refer to as the call of God on their lives. They run ministries as business ventures. They prophesy for money. They assassinate their rivals in “ministry”. They look for powers of the occult to garnish and “decorate their anointing”. They enter into covenants with Lucifer in order to outshine another preacher in a nearby cathedral.

God is giving them a season to repent or else He will come with a bitter visit and execute judgment on the wicked. Some preachers believe that the season to preach salvation and repentance is over and that we can only attract attention to be spiritual today if we have cash in our wallets. When God begins the purging that will usher in the end time revival, many so called worship centers will close down.

Conclusion

If the gospel is to impact the world, it must be carried by people who have a consuming desire to see it reach the ends of the earth. There must be an undeniable passion to push evangelism through. We live in an age that dominates our thinking, overwhelms our hearts, dulls our sharpness; blunts our commitment, and obscures the reality of our legitimate goal. Let the true sons arise and lift the banners of the cross such that the bastards peddling distorted gospel can repent or permanently vanish from the stage and their altars consumed to ashes. The cursed preachers and singers too preach what looks like the gospel but they deny the truth through their actions and lifestyles. Jesus said to those on the left: ye cursed! You can radically shift from the left to the righteous side today. Delay is dangerous!
